Why Use Cloth Nappies?

It WILL save you money -

The cost of disposable nappies over a 3 year period can easily cost up to $3500! Think about how much that would add up to if you have more than one child! Cloth nappies may have a larger initial outlay costing around $30 each, but it is usually a one off purchase.  The same cloth nappies can then be used on any following siblings increasing the savings significantly.  If you use just one cloth nappy a day for your child, you will save around $350 in 2 and a half years!!

It is better for the environment -

There are some people who argue there is no environmental benefit to using cloth nappies over disposables due to the water use when washing.  This is often a result of misunderstanding how Modern Cloth Nappies are used.  Nappies are no longer soaked, can be washed in cold water and modern washing machines are now more efficient. If you use just one cloth nappy a day for your child you will save around 310kgs going into landfill, in 2 and a half years!!

It’s better for baby –

Modern Cloth Nappies contain less chemicals than disposables and are therefore more comfortable for babies with sensitive skin.  They are free of sodium polyacrylate crystals used for absorbing liquid, a chemical that has been banned in women’s sanitary products.

They fit better -

Modern cloth nappies often fit better and leak less than disposables.  This is due to the elastic legs and back which give your baby a snug fit.  A great benefit of Cloth nappies is that you can adjust the level of absorbency to fit your child simply add an additional boosters or insert for ‘heavy wetters’ or during the night.

And ofcourse, they are seriously cute!!!!
